Associate Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Rizal Alkahari

Associate Professor Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Rizal Alkahari is a Deputy Director at Center for Strategy, Quality and Risk Management and an Associate Professor at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Malaysia. He received his B.Eng (Hons) from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He was a practising manufacturing engineer in industry for few years before joining the university as an academic staff. He completed his MSc in Manufacturing System Engineering (with Distinction) from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He received his Ph.D for the research in the area of 3D printing/additive manufacturing (AM) from Kanazawa University, Japan. His main research interest is on 3D printing/additive manufacturing (AM) particularly related to selective laser sintering/selective laser melting (SLS/SLM), fused deposition modeling (FDM) and wire arc additive manufacturing (WAAM). Other relevant areas that interest him are Quality Management, Product Design and Development and Manufacturing Processes. He is also a certified Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), Professional Technologist as recognized by Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) and Global Certified Lead Auditor for ISO9001:2015. Other than that, he is a member of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Malaysia Society for Engineering and Technology (MySET), Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME), Japan Society of Precision Engineering (JSPE), Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT) and International Association of Engineers (IAENG). Occasionally, he has been appointed as Internal Examiner/Board of Study for a few higher institutions/universities in Malaysia. Currently, he is also one of the accreditation panel for Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC), Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC) and Malaysian Board of Technologists (MBOT).

Professor Louis Cacetta
Curtin University, Australia

I joined the Department when it was a School as a lecturer in 1981 and progressed through promotion to Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor and finally to Professor (Personal Chair) in 1992. From 1994 to 2004, I was the Head of Department/School, and am again Head of Department, as of December 2010. In October 1999, I formed the Western Australian Centre of Excellence in Industrial Optimisation (WACEIO) and have been its Director ever since.

Professor Chetan Singh Solanki
IIT Bombay, India

Dr. Chetan Singh Solanki, a Professor at the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay, specializes in solar cell technologies and systems. Dr. Solanki is an educator, innovator, researcher, entrepreneur, author and philosopher. He is well known for his remarkable work in solar power as a renewable source of energy. He received his Ph.D. from IMEC (Ketholik University) Leuven, Belgium, a leading R&D and innovation hub in micro- and nano-electronics.

PROF. YOSHIKAZU NAKAI
Kobe University, Japan

Professor Yoshikazu Nakai is an Emeritus Professor and head of The Centre of Fracture Control Engineering at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kobe University, Japan. He was awarded JSMS Award for Academic Contribution in 2006 from The Society of Materials Science, Japan, and Outstanding Paper in 2018 from Committee on Fatigue, The Society of Materials Science, Japan. Other than that, he is a member of Fellow of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, Executive Board Member of the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (2009-2011), Executive Board Member of the Society of Materials Science, Japan (1996-1998, 2001-2003, 2005-2007, 2011-2013), Vice President of the Society of Materials Science, Japan (2011-2013), and Chairman of the 8th International Conference on Advanced Technologies in Experimental Mechanics (ATEM’11).
